SoloProtect was proud to be a Title Sponsor for the Retail Risk conference and the 2018 North American Fraud Awards in Dallas on May 17th. Founded by Paul Bessant, Retail Risk conferences take place in over 14 locations and 5 continents worldwide. The aim is to inspire fresh thinking in the loss prevention community while learning what has worked and what hasn’t from industry leaders.

The Dallas conference featured over 15 speakers on topics ranging from new technologies in loss prevention to interrogation techniques with SoloProtect Senior Vice President Craig Swallow giving a keynote address on lone working in retail. He illuminated the moral and legal obligation of the employer to keep the employee safe, the benefits of doing so, and where this technology may be headed in the future.

The SoloProtect ID has been an impactful solution for lone working in retail. From keyholders opening up the store, to restocking storerooms, to single shift workers, lone working in the retail industry has become commonplace. The risks range from environmental slips, trips, and falls, to a myriad of social risks including verbal abuse, physical threats, and theft. The SoloProtect ID is a discreet way to reach out and be instantly connected with trained professionals ready to help, whatever the situation calls for.

The inaguaral North Americal Fraud awards followed the conference recognizing excellence in both vendor and retail organizations. SoloProtect was proud to sponsor the award for Most Innovative Online Solution. SoloProtect’s Customer Success Manager, David Steinbrunner, presented the award to Oncam & VAS.

The SoloProtect protect team is looking forward to future of loss prevention and continuing to find new ways to keep retail employees safe.
