Setting the Standard
Audits can be tedious, they can be very time consuming and stressful, with vast amounts of confusing, technical jargon. But there's a very good reason for having them.
For most people, the very thought of having an audit can cause crippling stress, fear and anxiety, for those not closely involved it’s probably more likely to induce boredom and possibly the odd yawn. Audits can be tedious, they can be very time consuming and stressful, with vast amounts of confusing, technical jargon. But there’s a very good reason for having them.
To be a successful business you have to adapt to meet the growing needs of your customers; audits and accreditations are a good way to measure how well you’re doing this. Therefore, I’m pleased to announce that SoloProtect has passed an NSI Alarm Receiving Centre audit, which means we’re being recommended to be certified to NSI Guarding Gold & ARC Gold to ISO9001:2015.
Impressively, once again SoloProtect are the first in the lone working industry to achieve successful auditing from a new or updated accreditation, this time against ISO9001:2015. This first, follows less than a year on from becoming the first lone worker solution provider to be audited and approved by the NSI against the updated version of BS 8484; a feat also achieved with the previous standard, and with EN 50518:2013, the European Standard for Monitoring and Alarm Receiving Centres.
For us, passing audits gives us the reassurance that we’re doing the best we possibly can to add value and improve our operational procedures. It helps us accomplish our objectives by bringing a methodical and meticulous approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. Most importantly it demonstrates how much we care. It proves that we place the quality of our service, and our customer, above all else.
I’m extremely proud of all the hard work put in by everyone involved in the audit, but we won’t rest on our laurels. Work starts now to ensure we’re organised and prepared for our next audit. We want to continually ensure that we’re focused on meeting our customer’s requirements and continually improving; the best way to do this is to ensure we’re accredited to the highest possible standards.
